Greetings! I'm your host, Nyghtfall3D. I’m a digital artist based in the US, and specialize in computer-generated, 3D-rendered art using Daz Studio.

Our Purpose

Opened in February 2023, Visions of Darkness is an adults-only message board where visual artists can share and discuss their work. Though we welcome traditional art and AI art, our primary focus is on computer-generated, 3D-rendered images made with apps like Daz Studio, Poser, Blender, et al. If you prefer writing than rendering, we also have a section for writers.

Our Goal

VoD offers a vibrant, forum-based community environment where freedom of expression is valued and mature art can be enjoyed with as few restrictions as possible. The content here is created by adults, for adults.

As an artist, you may post whatever you want as long as it doesn't violate our Terms of Service. For the most part, nothing is off limits here except characters that don't look 18+.

As a viewer, you must be prepared to see content you may find distasteful. Rest assured, none of it is real.

AI Art

VoD began allowing AI art in March 2024. Despite the adverse impact AI has had on creative industries, professional artists have found ways to incorporate it into their workflows and continue making a living. Hobbyists told me the ethical debate surrounding its process of scraping the web for datasets is a separate issue for them. As fellow hobbyists, they just want to have fun and test its limits, whether enhancing their original work or creating new images

I must adapt if I want VoD to stay relevant and be successful. To that end, there are separate forums for AI art inside because of the divisive nature of the medium - some people loathe and refuse to look at AI art whenever possible. I also want viewers to know whether they're looking at enhanced or generated art.
